Located in the heart area is the fourth chakra, the heart chakra deals with all facets of love, empathy, tolerance, compassion, and forgiveness. Marking the bridge between the upper and lower chakras, it also focuses on social identity, self-acceptance, physical healing, balance, harmony, compassion and love.

When balanced, we can love deeply, feel compassion, have a deep sense of peace, trust others, and take responsible risks. However, when its unbalanced, one can suffer a loss of self-discipline, difficult relationships due to an inability to maintain healthy relations or we repeatedly put the needs of others before ourselves putting our own health at risk .

  • Bridges the upper and lower chakras; the center point
  • The integrator of opposites in the psyche: mind and body, male and female, persona and shadow, ego and unity
